Hello, I’m a current computer science major focusing on game development as my personal subject focus, for both video games and tabletop gaming in general.
I’m a huge fan of Godot and what it represents for the game industry, and I’m very excited to develop for and use this program to build prototypes for tabletop games. It seems like this is a very new community, and I hope to see it grow as a collaborative and welcoming space for gamers and game designers both to work, learn, and play games together.
I’m super happy to hear that you’ve taken an interest in the game for your work - it’s always really exciting to hear when players use it to prototype or develop their own board games. In fact, on the Discord, there was someone who uploaded an asset pack for a game they were developing called Bubble Banquet! If you do end up making a prototype with Tabletop Club, please feel free to share it in Asset Packs, I’d love to try it out for myself!
And like you said, it’s early days currently, so there’s definitely features that can be added or tweaked. If there’s something you’re struggling with, or if there’s something you think can be improved with the game, let me know in General or Help. I’m also currently re-writing pretty much the entire game from the ground up for the first big update, v0.2.0, so if you’ve got any suggestions, now’s a really good time!
If this is the topic of introduction, I’d love to chime in. I’m a web developer with a background of game development, and damn I miss it.
I just installed this project and played with it a bit, it looks very promising, I’d love to see it grows, together with a community.
Keep up the good work!
